Pulp Fiction star John Travolta and Salma Hayek have been announced to play the lead roles in the film “A Three Dog Life,” which will be based on the memoirs of Abigail Thomas – the daughter of famous science writer Lewis Thomas.
Abigail Thomas revived her life to live around her life partner, who went through severe delusions and mental disorder after a deadly car mishap. Abigail has 4 children and 12 grand children. She had to stop pursuing education when, expecting her first child, she was suggested to leave Bryn Mawr during her 1st year. She spent almost all her life on Upper West Side of Manhattan. She worked as a book editor for few years and also made her living as a book agent afterwards. Then, she worked on memoirs and wrote and issued a number of publications. She is mainly known for her memoir, A Three Dog Life, which was nominated among one of the best books of the year (2006) by the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. Safekeeping and Thinking About Memoir are also one of the best and most admired books written by Abigail.
Salma Hayek and Travolta will play Abigail and her husband respectively. After the car mishap, he is obligated to spend his life in a remote institution to eliminate the harmful side effects of his fatal accident. To be around her husband, Abigail recreates her life and leaves New York to live in a distant state town, with her 3 dogs.
Nick Guthe. J. Todd Harris is the talented guy who will do most of the work on the projects, means he will write, produce as well as direct the film. He is known for the film “The Kids Are All Right” starring Mark Ruffalo and Julian Moore. Clark Peterson (“Monster”) has also been announced to produce.
Solution Group will introduce the drama and handle sales throughout the world, while CAA and WME have been announced to co-represent the movie in the United States.
“Nick has adapted Thomas’ heart-wrenching memoir flawlessly, capturing the intimate details of how her marriage is put to the test following a life-changing accident. John and Salma are the perfect pair to portray this couple’s journey over the course of several years,” said the Solution Group’s co-creators and collaborators, Lisa Wilson and Myles Nestel.
