Emma Watson Will Play Lead Role in “Regression” opposite Ethan Hawk

Emma Watson is undoubtedly one of those young stars whom everyone is always excited to see in different roles on a big screen.

While fans are enthusiastically waiting for Emma’s upcoming film “Noah”, it has been announced that one of the hottest and most admired teenage actresses – Emma Watson – will play a lead role opposite renowned star Ethan Hawke in the thriller “Regression,” which will be directed by Alejandro Amenábar (known for “The Others”). Amenábar will make this film from his own creative screenplay, whereas his years’ associate Fernando Bovaira is going to produce the film for his MOD Entertainment flag in conjunction with Canadian producer Christina Piovesan.

“I am passionate about Alejandro and his work and am so happy to be collaborating with him. I’m really excited by the challenge my character presents to me as an actress. I can’t wait to begin,” said Watson.

Amenábar is also known for one of the highest rated films “The Sea Inside” starring Javier Bardem. Now, he has started working on another thriller genre, where he earlier had a huge achievement with the horror thriller “The Others”, which had Nicole Kidman as a lead character and grossed more than $200 million throughout the globe.

“Emma is a beautiful, humane, sensitive and very talented woman, and I feel very fortunate to be working with her. I’m sure that her long-standing stellar career has barely begun,” said Amenábar when he was asked about Emma’s casting.

The motion picture “Regression” marks the 4th planned launch in association with TWC-Dimension, where Bob Weinstein and Harvey Weinstein are going to join forces to get, extend, create and deal out movies for which they both divide up a mutual fervor.

Watson, who is widely recognized as her outstanding role of Hermione in the “Harry Potter” series, previously appeared in Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” and then she appeared in apocalyptic comedy film “This Is the End” along with Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill and Evan Goldberg. Now, fans are anxiously waiting for her biblical film “Noah” alongside Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. The trailer of the film has already been launched while film is set to release in March this year.

“Regression” is set to release in theaters in 2015, maybe giving 23-years-old actress enough time to wind up her English degree at Brown University prior to production starts.
