Katy Perry is No Longer in Relationship with John Mayer

According to a number of media reports, things are seemingly over for Pop star Katy Perry and her boy-friend John Mayer – a recording artist and producer. They have split up, bringing an end to their two-year long relationship.

Over the previous few days, 29-year-old singer was seen wearing rings on her left finger, which triggered a new round of engagement gossips among media circles and fans around the world. Few days back on Valentine's Day, Katy and her ex-boyfriend John were seen in quite pleasant mode during a night out in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Nevertheless, John was not reportedly spotted with Katy when she visited London and Milan just a couple of days back.

According to various media reports, Katy these days has taken a world tour and she recently came back home to Los Angeles on Friday. Ups and down in their relationship were started in 2012, and there were media reports of their split up last year. In current months, however, they were seen living happily together and rumors went viral that they might be engaged or planning to be engaged.

"[John]'s just a fantastic partner," Perry said in a January cover story for Marie Claire. "I've been a fan of his for such a long time. He's got a brilliant, brilliant mind. It's a rad, mature relationship."

Katy recorded and co-wrote, "Who You Love," for John's most recent album, Paradise Valley, and they had filmed a music video for the album in which they were seen fondling and riding a mechanical bull.

"Relationships are kind of like riding a bull – you hold on for dear life," Katy said while promoting the video on Good Morning America. "Sometimes you get a little buck here and there, but you get back on."

In the past, Katy was in relationship with some great personalities including artist Justin York, Matt Thiessen, Johnny Lewis, Travie McCoy, and Russell Brand. She started dating with Brand in September 2009, engaged with him on New Year's Eve 2009, and then secretly tied the knot on October 23, 2010. Her marriage with Russell ended after 1 year. After that, she started dating John Mayer. In a recent interview last month, Katy addressed their relationship, saying "I'm just having a wonderful experience with a wonderful guy. There's no rush."

However, it is now confirmed that they broke, but the reason behind split up has not been disclosed yet.
