Philip Seymour Hoffman is indeed one of the most loved actors in the Hollywood and still his fans and Hollywood stars are mourning over his death. A number of celebrities has paid visit to actor’s home to offer their condolences to the distraught family members including his partner Mimi O'Donnell and 3 children. Recently, Joaquin Phoenix visited Hoffman’s home and met with his partner and 3 children to offer condolence and pay tribute to the late actor.
Phoenix had worked with Hoffman in Paul Thomas Anderson's classic story of postwar America “The Master”, for which Hoffman received his last Oscar-nomination. Hoffman played the role of Lancaster Dodd, a honey-coated hoodwink, evidently as per L Ron Hubbard, who leads the way to a heavenly prospect. Dodd is convincing and delightful until he is challenged, whereupon the facade falls, the wrath bursts and he struggles to keep his narrative alive.
According to the director, the casting was fundamental and the movie depended on the characteristics between Hoffman and notably askew actor, Joaquin Phoenix. He made a decision through a tennis match between both actors who have very diverse approaches.
"Phil and Joaquin are pretty similar in some ways," Anderson said. "It's just that they go about things so differently."
Ethan Hawke was also seen visiting Hoffman’s West Village house to offer condolences to the family. He appeared with Hoffman in 2007 film “Before the Devil Knows You're Dead”. Hoffman's mother, Marilyn O'Connor, was also present there.
Meanwhile, law enforcement official discovered that Hoffman was not on a fatal new product of heroin, as some of the suspects have been arrested, who allegedly supplied the drugs. Nevertheless, even though the heroin found near dead body didn't include the influential additive fentanyl and the strong synthetic morphine, it could have been infected with any other toxic element.
Late Tuesday night, 4 suspects have been apprehended with regard to Hoffman's death. A number of media sources reported that, the NYPD got a search warrant and forayed into a New York residence after getting some secret information or clue that 2 persons who, they consider, have provided heroin to Hoffman would be there.
Another heroin user, who was close to Hoffman, had called the law enforcement agency and provided the names and addresses of a suspected drug dealer, who he said had frequently seen with Hoffman in his apartment. According to information he provided, Hoffman used to visit the dealer’s residence two times in a week and purchase a number of drug packets.
