Australian TV star and ex model Charlotte Dawson has passed away at not-so-old age of 47. She was mainly known for TV show “Australia’s Next Top Model” and was very staunch anti-bullying campaigner. She was not only immensely criticized in media circle, but she also had to deal with personal attacks by internet trolls. She had quite a long history of despair and was found deceased in her residence in Sydney. According to law enforcement agencies, there are no doubtful conditions of her death and they believed that it was a natural death.
According to various media sources, a real estate agent, who was doing some renovations of her apartment for a viewing to be sold at auction, found her dead early in the morning on Sunday. The calamity was exposed the day after the birthday of her ex- husband, Scott Miller, an Australian Olympic silver medal-winning swimmer who was hooked to the drug ice and mounted up several condemnations for unlawful drug and weapon ownership. Charlotte had expressed her lasting love for Miller and grief at his fall from grace prior to a special interview with him on Australian “60 Minutes”.
In 2012, New Zealand born star had tried to commit suicide due to immense criticism on both social and electronic media, but her life was saved, as she was immediately admitted to a Sydney hospital. She made various headlines in media when she had exposed in her autobiography “Air Kiss & Tell” that she was often inflicted by the “depression bogeyman.”
Charlotte had been the glamorous face of women’s gossip magazines for a very long time. She also appeared a number of reality TV shows. During 1980s, she pursued a long modeling career in various prominent countries including Italy, England and Germany. She left her homeland New Zealand at age 16 with a dream to be a successful model in New York City. She ultimately decided to live in Australia ten years ago and work as a TV personality. She rose to fame from a number of TV shows including Australia's Next Top Model, The Contender Australia and The Celebrity Apprentice.
New Zealand Prime Minister and Leader of the NZ National Party John Key expressed his grief on death of Charlotte though her official twitter account. He tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to hear of Charlotte Dawson’s death”.
May Her Soul Rest in Peace!
