Alyson Hannigan Will Play Lead Role in CBS Comedy “More Time With Family”

Alyson Hannigan, who is well-known for his role Lily Aldrin in famous TV comedy show “How I Met Your Mother”, has been announced to play the lead role in the CBS TV drama “More Time With Family”, which will be a multi-camera comedy show produced by renowned actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who are also best friends. This is the answer to the question of many fans who have been wondering that whether or not Alyson Hannigan will return to TV after the end of How I Met Your Mother. She is definitely coming back with another great show collaborating with two famous movie stars.

“How I Met Your Mother” will finally come to an end with its 9th season run in next month. The final episode of the comedy show is projected to be almost an hour-long. Hannigan is recently working on the 9th and last season of the CBS hit.

In CBS TV drama “More Time With Family”, Alyson will appear along with “Behind the Candelabra” star Tom Papa. “More Time With Family” is a comedy show that revolves around a husband and father (that will be played by Tom) who decides to alter his career with the intention of spending more time with his family. Alyson will play the role of, Tom's life partner Cindy Rizzo, who is depicted as an inspiring mother who carries out the responsibilities of the house like a drill sergeant and has nonstop vigor and motivation. She also fully supports her husband does her best to teach Tom different ways to run family matters and how to deal with children.

Affleck and Damon, who have collaborated with each other in various films, will be the executive producers of this upcoming 20th Century Fox TV show with help of their company Pearl Street Films. In addition, 3 Arts' Dave Becky and Josh Lieberman have also been announced to work as executive producers along with Damon and Affleck. Josh Goldsmith and Cathy have been assigned to write a great script for the drama. They will also serve as Executive Producers together with Tom Papa, who earlier joined forces with Matt Damon on Comedy Crime film “The Informant” and HBO's short TV drama “Behind the Candelabra”.

Besides “How I Met Your Mother”, Alyson is also well-known for her outstanding performance in famous Horror TV show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the American Pie franchise.
