Vincent D'Onofrio and Irrfan Khan Joined the Cast of Upcoming Dinosaur-filled Epic “Jurassic World”

With the “Parks and Recreation” star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard already tapped to appear as lead characters in forthcoming dinosaur-filled epic “Jurassic World”, now the production team has centered their concentration on searching a perfect antagonist of the film. They have recently recruited their bad guy for villainous role. Vincent D'Onofrio, as per a number of media reports, has officially made a deal to play the lead human villain. He has joined the cast that also includes Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson.

Indian actor Irrfan Khan, who is well-known for Oscar nominated film “Life of Pi”, has also come aboard the project, though it has not been confirmed yet what kind role he is going to play. There are no plot details as well as character details so far, but that's most likely for the reason that all aspects of the script are being kept under wraps at present. The film will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who is known for his indie comedy romance film “Safety Not Guaranteed”. He also co-wrote the script along with Pat Crowley.

D'Onofrio, certainly, has been a wonderful actor since the 80s. He became very famous due to his everlastingly unforgettable performance as Pvt. Leonard 'Gomer Pyle' Lawrence in Full Metal Jacket that was directed by Stanley Kubrick. By judging his performance as Pvt. Leonard, there is no doubt that he can play crazy roles very well. Currently, he has been as well recognized for his TV shows as his movie characters. He appeared as Detective Robert Goren on Law and Order: Criminal Intent for more than ten years.

He was recently seen in Mikael Håfström’s action thriller “Escape Plan” along with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. He finished working on the David Dobkin’s project “The Judge” co-starring with Robert Downey Jr. and Vera Farmiga. Other big upcoming projects include action thriller “Run All Night” in which he will appear along with action star Liam Neeson.

Khan, in the meantime, was brought in to most of the American audience owing to his outstanding performance as Police officer in Danny Boyle's Oscar winning film “Slumdog Millionaire”, but he has appeared in a number of mega-budget projects since then. “The Amazing Spider Man” provided him further spotlight in Hollywood. Teaser Trailer of Orphan Black Season 2 Has Been Released

Orphan Black, the Canadian Sci-Fi TV show starring Tatiana Maslany as a number of indistinguishable girls, has returned with its release date and teaser trailer of second season. This show immediately got a huge fan base around the world due to its unique storyline and character development.

Orphan Black revolves around Tatiana Maslany’s character Sarah Manning, who stumbles across her identical women Elizabeth Childs who suicides in front of her eyes. Sarah then assumes the identity of Elizabeth to leverage her death as a way to steal her life's savings. But, soon she stumbles upon another identical women and realizes that there are even more identical women who are actually clones. She finds herself being intrigued into the secret scheme of prohibited human cloning.

In the teaser trailer of upcoming season 2, we see pro-clone Rachel being threatened by Sarah Manning and saying the ominous words “Surrender yourself.” Rachel looks gritty to turn the lives of all the clones into a nightmare. In the last episode of the first season, we saw all the women divided, as Alison made an agreement with the apparently Clone Handlers in an attempt to have the guarantee for the safety of her family, while Sarah and Cosima rejected to make such deal.

In the meantime, Helena apparently met her demise, as she was shot by Sarah, after she killed their birth mother. In the end, we were introduced to another Tatiana’s character, Rachel — who seems a clone mastermind and is a member of Dyad Institute and is trying to seize all clones through agreements.

The new teaser that came with a collage of latest clips from season 2, not only shows the more threatening and more severe story-line but also shows this persistent admonisher from Sarah Manning: “Everything we are belongs to them.”

Fast & Furious 7 Production Will Resume in April

After a long break owing to the demise of star Paul Walker, Fast & Furious 7 team has decided to start the film production in April, providing the Universal studio and director James Wan nearly 1 year until the seventh installment is due to release in cinemas in April of next year. The rest of the production is projected to be completed within 6 to 8 weeks in Atlanta after Thanksgiving.

Fast & Furious 7 was almost done filming when one of the lead actors Paul passed away in a brutal car crash in Valencia, Calif., due to which its launch date was junked and director Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Universal studio had to re-evaluate the whole film production as well as change the remaining script. According to various rumors and Insiders, it is expected that Paul's character will be "retired" in the rest of the film story, instead of murdered by any villain. The writers will come up such script in a way that will enable the Fast and Furious to not to lose the consistency.

Paul Walker was tapped for various film projects prior to his tragic death. "Eden's Army," an action-romance script written by Tom Clynes, would have taken him in a course of "resolve and spirit." The story was reported last year. Clynes had sent the script to Walker who, 2 days before, had requested Clynes to let him see the script.

Paul’s last 2 projects, Camille Delamarre’s Brick Mansions and Fast 7 will be released in cinemas across US on April 25 and April 2015, respectively. In Brick Mansions, We will see Paul as an undercover cop, who struggles to destroy a merciless crime lord.

“The Hunger Games” Director Gary Ross and Actress Jennifer Lawrence Teaming Up Again for “East Of Eden”

The co-founder of Imagine Entertainment, Brian Grazer, and Universal Pictures studio have signed the agreement with the John Steinbeck estate for a film project based on his influential novel “East Of Eden”. According to a number of media sources, the director of “The Hunger Games”, Gary Ross, has been announced to helm the project, while Oscar winner star Jennifer Lawrence will play the lead role.

The story of the EAST OF EDEN revolves around 2 families of Salinas Valley in California prior to the events of World War I. The novel depicts the anecdote of Cain and Abel from The Bible and will mainly revolve around follow a father and 2 sons and their mother who is supposed to be dead. It also includes story of another family over the course of 2 generations. Jennifer Lawrence will probably play the role of a young version of the mother of two sons.

Though this seems quite small role for her, but as per various media sources, Jennifer herself showed interest to do that role and to team up once again with Ross, who has a huge part to make her one of the most prominent actresses by casting her in the first installment of the Hunger Games series. So, she didn't want to lose this chance to work with him again. In fact, Gary also wants Jennifer to play Cathy Ames, the sadistic and unkind mother of the boys and alienated wife of the farmer.

Some media sources have reported that the EAST OF EDEN is Ross’ one of the most favorite American novels and that he intends to demonstrate the generational tale in 2 installments. In the past, a film was made based on this novel. Elia Kazan had directed the movie in 1995, while James Dean and Richard Davalos had played the roles of two sons who struggle for the attention of their farmer father.

It has not been announced who will play the role of two sons in the latest version of the film. Universal, Grazer and Ross has started working on the basics of film project. Anna Culp, who is known for Angels & Demons, will be the executive producer.

Warner Bros.’ “The Conjuring 2” Has a Release Date

On the heels of the current casting choices and all the news related to upcoming Batman Vs. Superman, you may have thought that Warner Bros. would be drenched and would not be able to pursue other film projects. Providentially, a number of media reports are showing a small number of just announced launch dates.

James Wan’s Horror Thriller “The Conjuring” which gave us the experience of a horror world of actual paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren and turned out to be one of the best horror films of the decade with a huge box office earning worldwide. Now after the massive success of the horror film, the sequel The Conjuring 2 has been announced to be released on October 23, 2015.

According to the rumors in media circle, Warrens will investigate their next paranormal activities in England. IMDB has titled the film as “The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist”, perhaps denoting a 1977 case of a single mother, living at the outskirts of London, whose family was being haunted and was experiencing paranormal activities.

In “The Conjuring”, The Departed star Vera Farmiga and Watchmen star Patrick Wilson has played the roles of real life paranormal investigators Lorraine Warren and Ed Warren respectively.

After what feels like forever, the launch date of the Entourage film has also been announced, that is June 12, 2015. The film story and plot will be based on original TV show. Besides “The Conjuring 2” and “Entourage”, Warner Bros is also working on various other film projects and release dates of all films has been announced. The upcoming films of the studio are “Untitled New Line Horror Film”, “Mean Moms”, and “How To Be Single”, which are projected to be released on October 3, May 8, and February 12 next year.

The Entourage was started filming a week ago with original TV show cast team Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase, Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold, Kevin Connolly as Eric Murphy, Kevin Dillon as Johnny Chase and Jerry Ferrara as Turtle. The script will be written and directed by TV series creator Doug Ellin. Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is the most prominent film at Jameson Empire Awards with 7 nominations. This comes as little shocker as the mega-budget movie has not done fairly as good when we talk about nominations for Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Jameson Empire Awards is organized by Empire Magazine which is a monthly film magazine. Steve McQueen’s Oscar nominated film “12 Years a Slave” is at second place with 6 nominations, while Francis Lawrence’s “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is at third place with 5 nominations. British director Paul Greengrass’ Oscar nominated film “Captain Phillips” also grabbed five nominations, while Alfonso Cuarón’s space drama Gravity was able to get 4 nominations. These five films have been nominated for the best film award.

Paul Greengrass has been announced to be awarded with the Empire Inspiration Award at the event for his outstanding work on the “Bourne” series. Under the category of Best Director Award, he will contest against four renowned directors including Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity), Edgar Wright (The World’s End), Peter Jackson (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), and Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave).

It was recently reported that DVD and Blu-ray for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug has been projected to launch on April 8. Amanda Seyfried to Star in Seth MacFarlane’s Ted 2

As per a number of media sources, the actor, producer and writer Seth MacFarlane has announced that Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried will play main female character in his upcoming Ted sequel. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his lead male role as John Bennett, while Seyfried will appear as his girlfriend. Mila Kunis, who played lead female role in Ted opposite Mark Wahlberg, may not appear in upcoming Ted 2.

In the original film, Mark Wahlberg’s character John Bennett tied the knot with Mila’s character Lori, at the end of film, but seemingly Mila will not reprise her character.  As per a number of media reports, this decision was not due to any animosity between Mila and the director Seth.  It is just the imaginative direction of Seth who desires to bring some better change in the sequel’s plot. Besides Ted sequel, MacFarlane and 28-year-old actress have also co-starred in latest comedy film “A Million Ways to Die in the West”, which is written and directed by MacFarlane and will be released in cinemas across US on May 30th, 2014. Ron Howard Will Likely Direct the Live Action Version of “Jungle Book”

A Writer Has Filed Lawsuit Against TV Show “Ray Donovan”

The writer Brian A. Larsen has alleged that his pitch for a TV show "The Swissman" included major aspects which are also found in the TV drama “Ray Donovan” in which Liev Schreiber is playing the lead role as a Hollywood fixer. Larsen has put severe allegations and filed court case on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court asserting that his idea has been stolen by the producers of Ray Donovan.

According to the Brian's case, his idea revolved around a "middle aged lead character that makes his living by working as a 'fixer' – also termed as a person who engineers the assassinations or else brutally getting rid of targeted individuals according to the contract of the person who hires him to do the job." Furthermore, the central character would have a "disruptive" relationship with his father, have a "disturbed affiliation" with a catholic priest, and handle a brother who is always causing difficulties for him in his work.

"The unmistakable central theme is whether a fixer has a moral obligation to do the right thing or if he is simply supposed to 'do his job," the suit reads.

Brian's suit explains that he got the idea for a TV drama in the 2005, and made a great effort on the script for 3 years, chronicling the ideas with the WGA in September 2009. After that, he worked with the literary organization called Richmond Weavers and Spinners Guild (RWSG), and then in 2010 he became involved with Universal Cable Productions to arrange conferences with distributors and production organizations in order to convert his script into a TV drama.

The suit further shows that, in 2010, Brian pitched the concept to Danielle Gelber – Showtime development executive – who reportedly assured him that she would "pitch like hell" to get the channel work on this script. After a couple of months, he was introduced with other Showtime executives, but was later told the channel was unable to work on his project.

Brian is bringing a court case for violation of entailed contract as well as confidence. He is now seeking compensation and broad reimbursement at a trial by panel of adjudicators, plus he wants the production of the show to be stopped. Ray Donovan season 2 is projected to be launched this year.
