Quentin Tarantino Has deferred Film Project “The Hateful Eight” Due to Script Leak

It might be disappointed news for the Tarantino moviegoers. Few weeks ago, there was a fuss on media about Tarantino’s next movie project and even he had revealed the name of the movie “The Hateful Eight”. But, sadly it turns out that Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino has made a decision to defer his much talked about next film after the script was leaked around Hollywood.

As per a number of media sources, Tarantino had provided the recently written script to few close friends including Pulp Fiction actor Tim Roth, Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen, Nebraska’s actor Bruce Dern, and Django Unchained’s producer Reggie Hudlin. So, it is being said that one of these potential suspects, or most probably one of their representatives, has leaked out the script, but Tarantino declares that he don’t have any idea how it got leaked or who did it. All he knows is that such treacherous act has compelled him to put the project on hold and start writing a new script.

Tarantino had revealed in some interviews that ‘The Hateful Eight’ was conceived to be a western and the religious follow-up to the 1960’s film “The Magnificent Seven”. Tarantino came to know about the leak when his agent was flooded with calls from talent agents struggling to pitch their actor clients.

In an interview, he said, "I gave it to six people. I am very, very depressed.”

The 50-years-old director had won best original screenplay for Django Unchained last year. He said: "I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now."

Tarantino has made 8 movies so far. He wrote and directed all of them. Four films were nominated for Oscars, but he won Oscars only for two films. Nevertheless, the much-admired director has currently showed his involvement in writing novels, and now he has pointed out that the leaking of his script is the great chance to bring out The Hateful Eight, either as a script or a novel.

But for those people, who love Tarantino’s films and are extremely saddened that his next film The Hateful Eight has been discarded, don't be upset just yet. As per several media sources, Tarantino has confirmed that after the script or book is issued, he may come back to the concept of settle it for the screen in a couple of years.
