Daniel Craig to Star in Courtroom Thriller Drama “The Whole Truth”

The James Bond of the modern era – Daniel Craig – seems has got a splendid opportunity to star in another thriller and to add another important title to his action film career. According to a number of media reports, it has been confirmed that the 45 years old actor will be seen as a lead character in Courtney Hunt's forthcoming courtroom drama “The Whole Truth”, which will be based on the script written by Nicholas Kazan, who is father of Zoe Kazan and writer of Matilda and Bicentennial Man. Atlas Entertainment’s Richard Suckle has been assigned to produce the movie, while FilmNation will manage the global rights in Germany.

Full details about the plot of the film have not been disclosed yet, but as per a number of media sources, Craig will play the role of a lawyer and most of the film shooting will take place in Boston. Does this indicate that we will see Daniel with his finest shot at a Beantown accent? It is also not confirmed that when the project will kick off. The director Courtney Hunt made a big entry in Hollywood in 2008 with her debut hit film Frozen River, for which she was nominated for Oscar under the category of best original screenplay, while star Melissa Leo was nominated for best lead actress.

Daniel Craig‘s previous bond film, Skyfall directed by Sam Mendes, had turned out to be one of the most successful bond films, making over $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office and grabbing a large number of the warmest reviews in the history of the bond film franchise. And with the director Sam Mendes (who is highly recognized for films like Road to Perdition and American Beauty) all prepared to sit on the director’s chair again, the upcoming sequel “Bond 24” will be a successful film as well. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond in the action franchise's next installment The “Bond 24”, which is scheduled to be released in 2015. However, the exact date is not confirmed yet.

Craig had appeared as a journalist character in David Fincher’s thriller drama “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, now he wants to add another thriller film in his career. After Skyfall, Daniel has not appeared in any film so far, but he is keeping himself involved in different other projects, taking a lead role in Mike Nichols’ Broadway renewal of Betrayal alongside his real-life wife and renowned actress Rachel Weisz.
