Channing Tatum Hopefully to Play Gambit in a Solo Film: X-Men Producer Hints

Do you memorize how thrilled X-Men fans were when it was declared that Taylor Kitsch would play the role of Gambit in X-Men: Origins – Wolverine? But, the initial try of 20th Century Fox to bring Gambit into live-action motion picture had proven to be a major blunder. Most of the audiences were disappointed after watching how dreadful the whole thing turned out to be. The version of the character had 2 main issues: he was unable to talk in his typical New Orleans accent, and he actually had no reason of being in the script. After this letdown, we didn’t hear anything regarding the Gambit until now.

It seems that Lauren Shuler Donner – the producer of X-Men: Days of Future Past – wants to improve all of that by making a solo Gambit film that really values the source material into production. For this film, she wants Channing Tatum to take a lead role as Gambit. What's more, the 64-years-old producer has even contemplated the possible film scale and what type of story or script should be written, and she has seemingly already conversed the opportunity with the 33-years-old star Tatum.

"I'm dying to do a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum. That doesn't have to be a great big movie. It's a thief in New Orleans, it's a whole different story. He's on board, and I have to get the studio on board. How can anyone resist Channing? He's such a sweetheart," she said.

You may know about the fact that this is not the first time Tatum is being considered to play Gambit. “21 Jump Street” star was actually in talks with the producers to play Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand 2006, but his role was eventually removed from the script. The interesting aspect is that Tatum is also very much interested in playing Gambit, as he had expressed his views about this mutant role on the press visit for his film White House Down in 2013.

"I would like to play Gambit," Tatum said. "Gambit's my favorite. I'm from New Orleans, around that area. My dad's from New Orleans, and I like to do a Cajun accent. I could do it for real."

When it is going to happen? It’s not confirmed yet and is a total mystery. Fox has many plans for X-Men franchise, particularly for the launch of X-Men: Apocalypse.

Do you think Channing Tatum as Gambit is a good decision?

Daniel Craig to Star in Courtroom Thriller Drama “The Whole Truth”

The James Bond of the modern era – Daniel Craig – seems has got a splendid opportunity to star in another thriller and to add another important title to his action film career. According to a number of media reports, it has been confirmed that the 45 years old actor will be seen as a lead character in Courtney Hunt's forthcoming courtroom drama “The Whole Truth”, which will be based on the script written by Nicholas Kazan, who is father of Zoe Kazan and writer of Matilda and Bicentennial Man. Atlas Entertainment’s Richard Suckle has been assigned to produce the movie, while FilmNation will manage the global rights in Germany.

Full details about the plot of the film have not been disclosed yet, but as per a number of media sources, Craig will play the role of a lawyer and most of the film shooting will take place in Boston. Does this indicate that we will see Daniel with his finest shot at a Beantown accent? It is also not confirmed that when the project will kick off. The director Courtney Hunt made a big entry in Hollywood in 2008 with her debut hit film Frozen River, for which she was nominated for Oscar under the category of best original screenplay, while star Melissa Leo was nominated for best lead actress.

Daniel Craig‘s previous bond film, Skyfall directed by Sam Mendes, had turned out to be one of the most successful bond films, making over $1.1 billion at the worldwide box office and grabbing a large number of the warmest reviews in the history of the bond film franchise. And with the director Sam Mendes (who is highly recognized for films like Road to Perdition and American Beauty) all prepared to sit on the director’s chair again, the upcoming sequel “Bond 24” will be a successful film as well. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond in the action franchise's next installment The “Bond 24”, which is scheduled to be released in 2015. However, the exact date is not confirmed yet.

Craig had appeared as a journalist character in David Fincher’s thriller drama “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, now he wants to add another thriller film in his career. After Skyfall, Daniel has not appeared in any film so far, but he is keeping himself involved in different other projects, taking a lead role in Mike Nichols’ Broadway renewal of Betrayal alongside his real-life wife and renowned actress Rachel Weisz.

New 15 Pictures from Game of Thrones Season 4 Has Been Released

Brace Yourselves! Winter is coming in the spring. It means that Game of Thrones season 4 is going to be released in spring with all its glorious characters, furious battles and heart-whelming scenes of the Westeros and North. The Game of Thrones premiere will be launched on April 6. The anxiety and anticipation of fans around the world was increased with the release of new trailer and several teasers a couple of weeks ago. Now, to add more to the anticipation, HBO has released 15 pictures from the upcoming fourth season, which will expectantly turn out to be the most satisfying for our Game of Thrones desires prior to the launch of mega premiere.

The pictures of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen and Maisie Williams as Angry Arya Stark are pretty damn epic. We also see Rose Leslie as her character Ygritte holding a crossbow and still going around with those Wildlings in spite of Jon Snow’s love for her. There is also a sad looking picture of Jon Snow (Kit Harington).
Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) look like a happy couple in the picture having a feast on the table and Tyrion gently holding her beautiful wife’s hand. It seems that one way or another Tyrion possibly succeeded to have better relationship with Sansa after their forced marriage and embarrassing or (you may say) awkward moments between them from last season. Arya Stark can be seen walking and chumming up around with Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane (played by Rory McCann).

We also have a glimpse of ruthless teenage King Joffrey; the character so perfectly and awesomely played by Jack Gleeson that many people literally hates him. In the picture, he still looks like a proud, self-centered and victorious king. Jaime Lannister has cut his hair and looks to be squabbling with her sister (or should we say lover) Cersei Lannister (that is well played by Lena Headey).

There are two new characters Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma). There are yet so much new things to see and follow in this fantasy world of George R.R. Martin. We will experience amazing things in part to the substantial cast that spans 7 kingdoms. Besides pictures of fan favorites, we also see generally loathed character like Joffrey Baratheon and Tywin Lannister, in addition many others who fall in between.

What do you think about the new pictures?

1939 classic film 'The Wizard of Oz’ to be honored by Oscars on its 75th Anniversary

The Academy Awards event, which is all set to be held on March 2, 2014, will honor the 1939 classic musical film “The Wizard of Oz,” which was nominated for the best film at that time. The 75th anniversary of the film will be celebrated as part of the Oscars. The film was produced by Mervyn LeRoy, while it was directed by more than one persons including Victor Fleming, George Cukor, and Norman Taurog. It had received 6 Oscar nominations and even though it was not able to get the Best Picture award, but it grabbed 2 awards for Original Score and best Song of the year.

The story of one of the highest rated classic fantasy movies revolves around a girl from Kansas who comes across and follows a Yellow Brick Road and is transported to the supernatural world of Oz.

"We are delighted to celebrate the birthday of one of the most beloved movies of all time at this year’s Oscars.” The great show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron publically announced.

The show will take place at Hollywood & Highland Center and will be shown live on the ABC channel in above 225 countries and districts around the world.

A new promo of the Oscar award featuring renowned host Ellen DeGeneres wearing tuxedo and dancing along with hundreds of other dancers has already been released almost a month back and can be watched on the YouTube. It was also reported some days back that the Academy awards show will also pay tribute to real-life heroes, super heroes, famous heroes and animated heroes — both from earlier period and current era — plus the producers and directors who enliven them.

A number of parties and celebration events are going on for some months these days, with previous fall’s spectacular 3D IMAX re-launch of the this classic picture. An influential book “The Making of the Wizard of Oz” on how the movie was created was issued with an improved re-publication last year. The book was written by Aljean Harmetz. It has turned out to be an essential book to read, with inspirational stories of the complicated casting progression, the party-happy Munchkins, and the several types of vintage costuming, carrying out makeup and direction aspects which the movie went through to prove to be what we see and admire today.

Sherlock Star Benedict Cumberbatch to Take a Lead Role in film “Blood Mountain”

Now that Sherlock Season 3 alongside Martin Freeman is proceeding with full action, Benedict Cumberbatch can bring his strong appearance and unique accent back to the motion picture. It has been announced that 37 years old star will take a lead role in the action thriller “Blood Mountain,” which Altitude Film Sales is prepared to market to global dealers at the European Film Market in Berlin. The film will be directed by Sergei Bodrov, while Lawrence Bender and James Gibb have been announced to produce it. The script is written by Jonathan W. Stokes and John Romano.

It has not been confirmed whether or not the movie title denotes the mountain peak on the Appalachian Trail. However, as per the synopsis, the film plot revolves around a classified armed contractor, whose Special Forces squad is bushwhacked and murdered during a clandestine incursion, as a result pushing him to singlehandedly capture and bring one of the most wanted terrorists worldwide over intimidating land so as to bring him to justice. With a reward on terrorist’s head and rebels and opponent mercenaries furiously hunting him down to get reward, he not only has to fight with his enemies, but also has to protect the terrorist from all enemies.

As the story continues, it becomes more intense and thrilling, and it is extremely pleasing to watch Cumberbatch going through a wide variety of film projects with different roles. If you have seen Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak starring Tom Hiddleston who replaced Cumberbatch in the film, then don’t get confused, as “Blood Mountain” is not a remake or any kind of sequel of Crimson Peak.  This film is a new thriller with completely different story and John Romano’s revisions.

Cumberbatch, who recently played important roles in two different films – The Hobbit and 12 Years a Slave, will also appear as Alan Turing in Morten Tyldum’s drama thriller “The Imitation Game”, and James Gray’s much anticipated adventure biography “The Lost City of Z.” There rumors that he will also appear as lead character in Doug Liman’s drama history film Everest.

The movie will be financed by Silver Reel with the association of UTA Independent Film Group, while the film production is projected to begin in April in Morocco.

So, what are you views about it? Are you excited to see Cumberbatch in yet another action thriller “Blood Mountain”?

Breaking Bad’s Jonathan Banks to reprise his role as Mike in "Better Call Saul"

This is great news for Breaking Bad fans that Jonathan Banks (known as Mike Ehrmantraut) will be seen again in Breaking Bad's upcoming prequel "Better Call Saul", alongside Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman). In original TV show, Jonathan played the role of Mike who was the security manager of Gustavo Fring's (played by Giancarlo Esposito) meth business prior to teaming up with Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) after Fring's death. Jonathan was nominated for Emmy awards for his outstanding performance in Season 5, which was second nomination for the veteran actor. He had earned his first nomination for Emmy award for his performance in the 1987 drama series Wiseguy.

Produced by Vince Gilligan, the hotly-anticipated prequel "Better Call Saul" will revolve around calm criminal lawyer Saul’s fishy career before the upshots of the original series. Besides Mike, it is still unknown that which ones of the other original series characters will appear in the show. However, Gilligan has given us a slight hint that some of the other characters will definitely appear in the upcoming show. Most likely, we will see Giancarlo Esposito as Gustavo 'Gus' Fring and Lavell Crawford as Huell again.

In an interview, Gilligan has said that he would love to see Mike on “Better Call Saul” prequel. Aaron Paul’s character Jesse has also been much discussed. Bryan Cranston has also openly said that he would love to make a return as Walter White again in some parts of the spin-off that has further widened Jonathan’s association with Sony TV, where he presently reappeared as Professor Buzz Hickey on the NBC comedy series Community.

Banks joining the prequel implies that Goodman will have his reliable personal fixer and security advisor “Mike” by his side. Banks remained regular on original series for almost 3 seasons and then he was killed by Walter in the fifth season while attempting to give up the meth business.

It seems that character of Mike has helped Jonathan to get many good offers for different roles in upcoming films. We will see Jonathan in couple of upcoming films like the comedy "Authors Anonymous" along with Kaley Cuoco (who is known as Penny in The Big Bang Theory), film "Bullet" alongside Danny Trejo and another comedy sequel "Horrible Bosses 2".

The first premiere of “Better Call Saul” has been projected to be released on AMC in November 2014.

So, are you excited?

Jonah Hill’s Titanic Moment with Leonardo DiCaprio in 'SNL' Monologue

Looks like "The Wolf of Wall Street" sparked a great friendship between two Oscar nominated stars Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio, as Jonah roped in his pal Leo to assist him in hosting Saturday Night Live for the third time last night. After few minutes into the opening monologue of the show by Jonah, Leo made a surprise appearance to rein in his co-star’s weak ego and reprove him for attempting to behave like a VIP, and then Jonah asked Leo to boost his confidence by re-enacting the well-known scene from Titanic. Jonah spread his arms like Rose did in Titanic, Leo groped him from behind and then Jonah asked, “Am I flying Jack”? And Leo replied, “Yes you are flying Rose”.

When the show kicked off, Jonah faced a series of questions about the Leo from the audience, which incited a defensively bigheaded gush from the 30-year-old star.

“I call up Marty Scorsese, I say, ‘Marty its JH. I’m ready to get in the ring together.’ He says, ‘Finally,’” Hill described after getting to his breaking point. “Then I say, ‘Should we get DiCaprio on board?’ And Marty says, ‘I don’t know if he can handle it. Sure, he’s a movie star and puts teenage girls in the seats. But we need a real actor like you.’”

Jonah’s mind-set swiftly altered when Leo appeared on stage. Leo berated him and advised him to be “humble” and “gracious,” as he is a “real actor now.” Jonah then requested Leo, saying “Remember when we were on set and I’d great really nervous? Can we do the thing that we did every time? The thing that made me feel safe.”

Leo unenthusiastically concurred, and hugged him from behind while Jonah opened his arms, with “My Heart Will Go On” music running in the background.

Both actors were nominated for Golden Globes Awards for their outstanding performance in Wolf of Wall Street. Leo won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Film (Musical or Comedy), while Jonah lost the award for best supporting actor. Now both actors have been nominated for Academy Awards in their respective categories. According to various media sources, Leo is the most favorite for Oscars this year.

What do you think about Jonah Hill’s performance as a show host and sudden appearance of Leonardo? Do you think Leo will finally win Oscar award this time?

“I, Frankenstein” Disappoints, While “Ride Along” Leads at the Box Office

While Stuart Beattie’s “I, Frankenstein” was unable to entertain the audience, earning a dismal projected $8.3 million in 3 days, the domestic box office still observed huge success, owing to great business done by movies like Kevin Hart-Ice Cube comedy “Ride Along” and Peter Berg’s “Lone Survivor” starring Mark Wahlberg. Both films led the box office with $21.2 million and $12.6 million, respectively.

Ride Along is likely to come up with another lead at the box office this weekend, after a $6.3 million previous weekend. It seems that Universal Pictures is going to rule the box office with top 2 films for the 2nd week consecutively, and will snatch its 3rd successive weekend lead. Both films increased Universal Pictures’ domestic total to $60 million and $81 million respectively.

The weekend’s sole wide launch, the Lionsgate’s horror flick “I, Frankenstein” starring Aaron Eckhart (known for Dark Knight) was able to make only $2.8 million from more than twenty-five hundred theaters for 3rd Friday. Produced for $65 million by Lakeshore Entertainment, it is expected that this will be passed by family movies like “The Nut Job” and “Frozen” on Saturday and Sunday, and is going to face quite tough time in order to crack $10 million. As per many experts, “Frankenstein” is projected to do about half the business than the production company has projected ($65 million).

For “I, Frankenstein”, the underachieve of what already would have been an unsatisfying release makes it the huge financial failure until now. However, Laskeshore will have some fiscal relief, as it has already delivered pre-sold overseas rights. The movie’s domestic viewpoint is dismal, in spite of a ‘B’ CinemaScore and quite a satisfactory Imax presentation.

Peter Lepeniotis’s animated film “The Nut Job” made $2.5 million Friday from more than three thousand cinemas, an approximately 48% decrease, and is looking at 2nd week of nearly $11 million and 3rd position. Paramount’s “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” starring Chris Pine made $2.6 million from more than 3 thousand cinemas and is looking at $9 million in 2nd week.

Disney’s box office hit “Frozen” was 5th place bringing in two million dollar Friday – off only 20% from previous week. It is looking at $9 million for tenth week. It has made huge domestic total of $340 million, while internationally making around $767 million.

What do you think about “I, Frankenstein”? Which movie did you like the most?

Hugh Jackman to Play Villain Blackbeard in Warner Bros. Film Pan

It has been confirmed that X-Men star Hugh Jackman has made an agreement to play the role of pirate Blackbeard in Warner Bros. upcoming film “Pan” that will be directed by Joe Wright. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Garrett Hedlund is also under consideration to play the role of Captain Hook. Previously, Javier Bardem was in talks with Warner Bros. to play the role of Blackbeard, but he turned it down due to busy schedule and then WB pursued the Australian Actor Hugh Jackman. The hunt for the actor to play the role of Peter Pan is still underway. As per some media reports, Ryan Gosling was considered for this role but he has already turned it down.

"I'm very excited. I love it. I love the director Joe Wright, I love working with Warner Bros. and I think this is just really exciting. It's a very cool project. And it's wonderful for my kids!" Hugh Jackman said.

In spite of being an Oscar-nominated star, the 45-years-old actor has described that he will never live through his excellent fortune. While Jackman has an image of playing positive heroic roles and has never done a negative role or villain, he has shown the skills to undertake this challenge. His current work in Warner Bros.’ film “Prisoners” is highly admired by critics and though he is not playing negative role in it, the part is extremely tense as compared to his other roles, even that of the Comic Book Hero “Wolverine”.

“Hugh Jackman always delivers indelible performances that resonate with audiences, we know he will create a Blackbeard who will be a powerful presence in this original Peter Pan adventure”, Greg Silverman, Warner Bros. President of Creative Development, said about the Jackman’s acting skills.

The script will be written by Jason Fuchs, who is well-known for writing scripts of a number of TV shows such as The Good Wife, Law and Order and The Sopranos. As per the script, an orphan is taken to the supernatural world of Neverland, where he turns out to be the rescuer of the local residents and directs a revolt against the wicked pirates of Blackbeard.

The film is still untitled, but it does have a July 17, 2015 release date after it was moved previous week to get slot formerly held by the Superman vs. Batman in order to keep Pan from being sandwiched between Terminator reboot and Ted 2.

Ant-Man’s Release Date Switched to Previous Release Date of Batman vs Superman

With the change of release date (May 6, 2016) of Warner Bros. DC Comic movie Superman vs Batman, director Edgar Wright of Marvel’s “Ant-Man” (starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym) has taken the advantage to move film's launch date to July 17, 2015. Previously, “Ant-Man” was scheduled to be released on June 26, 2015, but it has been changed and will now open 2 weeks earlier than planned, following the news of change in release date of Superman vs Batman.

Paul Rudd has been announced to play the role of Scott Lang, then later it was confirmed that Michael Douglas is going to play the role of original Ant-Man Hank Pym. As per some latest rumors and news, Michael Pena and Clifton Collins Jr. are also being considered to play specific roles in the Marvel film.

This is in fact the 2nd big launch date change that Marvel did with the Ant-Man film. After several years of advancement, Marvel ultimately put the project on their launch time-frame for previously in October 2012, choosing November 6 2015 as the release date, but that decision was changed in September when the film made the jump to the summer smash hit season. In
the latest release date, the movie will compete with Warner Bros.’ Peter Pan directed by Joe Wright, but it will also face tough competition with the launch of the Despicable Me follow-up Minions and Trainwreck directed by Judd Apatow, which are scheduled to be released on July 10 and July 24 respectively in the same year.

It's just a 2 week move, so many experts think that the new launch date will don’t have any impact on Ant-Man's production program, but all the aspects are getting ready to start earlier than expected. However, lead actress for the film has not been announced or confirmed so far. Which actress will be perfect to play the role of Janet Van Dyne (also known as Wasp); the hunt is still going on. According to various rumors in the media circle, it has been suggested that Rashida Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard are both under consideration to play the role, but thinking about Rashida’s latest TV show and Bryce's busy schedule with film Jurassic World, perhaps neither of them will play the role.

Not much has been told regarding the film’s plot at the moment. However, it has been confirmed that the screenplay will be written by Joe Cornish who also directed well admired aliens film Attack The Block.

Are you excited for Ant-Man?

Quentin Tarantino Has deferred Film Project “The Hateful Eight” Due to Script Leak

It might be disappointed news for the Tarantino moviegoers. Few weeks ago, there was a fuss on media about Tarantino’s next movie project and even he had revealed the name of the movie “The Hateful Eight”. But, sadly it turns out that Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino has made a decision to defer his much talked about next film after the script was leaked around Hollywood.

As per a number of media sources, Tarantino had provided the recently written script to few close friends including Pulp Fiction actor Tim Roth, Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen, Nebraska’s actor Bruce Dern, and Django Unchained’s producer Reggie Hudlin. So, it is being said that one of these potential suspects, or most probably one of their representatives, has leaked out the script, but Tarantino declares that he don’t have any idea how it got leaked or who did it. All he knows is that such treacherous act has compelled him to put the project on hold and start writing a new script.

Tarantino had revealed in some interviews that ‘The Hateful Eight’ was conceived to be a western and the religious follow-up to the 1960’s film “The Magnificent Seven”. Tarantino came to know about the leak when his agent was flooded with calls from talent agents struggling to pitch their actor clients.

In an interview, he said, "I gave it to six people. I am very, very depressed.”

The 50-years-old director had won best original screenplay for Django Unchained last year. He said: "I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn't mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now."

Tarantino has made 8 movies so far. He wrote and directed all of them. Four films were nominated for Oscars, but he won Oscars only for two films. Nevertheless, the much-admired director has currently showed his involvement in writing novels, and now he has pointed out that the leaking of his script is the great chance to bring out The Hateful Eight, either as a script or a novel.

But for those people, who love Tarantino’s films and are extremely saddened that his next film The Hateful Eight has been discarded, don't be upset just yet. As per several media sources, Tarantino has confirmed that after the script or book is issued, he may come back to the concept of settle it for the screen in a couple of years.

Simon Helberg and His Wife Jocelyn Towne Are Expecting Their Second Baby

He and his fellows (Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco) of Big Bang Theory may have been defeated at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, but Simon Helberg, who is also known as aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz from CBS show Big Bang Theory, was still smirking from ear-to-ear about the happy news of his upcoming child. The 33-year-old actor has disclosed the news that he and his wife Jocelyn Towne are expecting their 2nd baby.

"Yes, my wife is [pregnant]. I can't take all the credit", He said.

He affirmed the news after his wife Jocelyn (who is also an actress and writer) revealed her rising baby bump on the red carpet as she posed for photographs with her hubby. Blush with physical condition of pregnancy, she was looking beautiful wearing a grey empire line bulging silk dress.

It is quite a surprising coincidence that Helberg’s 37-year-old wife was pregnant with their first child at the 2012 SAG Awards. Their daughter Adeline came into this world on May last year. Helberg gave very amusing remarks regarding it. Helberg said that there was something about the SAG awards and children that are closely related, for they both were having their first baby Adeline, who is now 2 years old, at the event of the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

"Every time I come to the SAG Awards there's something about this night...About 8 months before [the SAG Awards] I get really the urge, I feel the romance, and then we get nominated so it's hand in hand." He said.

The Big Bang Theory lost the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy series, but Helberg obviously has much to be cheerful about his life. His wife Towne is also a director. She is known for the film “I Am I” that she wrote and directed along with her hubby. The cute couple tied the knot of marriage in 2007 and has lived happily 7 years in matrimony.

Before being famous due to Big Bang Theory Show, Helberg had diminutive roles on a number of well-known shows including Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Arrested Development and Less Than Perfect. Helberg is currently also working on a film project “We'll Never Have Paris” that he and his wife both are directing.

Congratulations to the Nerdy Couple on the news of the arrival of their second baby. What you have to say about this news?

Kick Ass Girl – Chloe Grace Moretz – is Excited to Celebrate Her 17th Birthday in L.A.

Chloë Grace Moretz, who rose to fame from a comedy action film Kick Ass, will celebrate her 17th birthday on February 10 and has already revealed her plans for the event, but don't anticipate the young teenage to be boogieing on table tops and bringing about quite a disturbance. She was talking to a number of media sources at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of Laggies with the co-actors Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell and Mark Webber. She said, “I have a couple of people flying into L.A. for my birthday. I think I just want to be chill…maybe have dinner at the house."

Stating that she tends to keep all things "normal” on her birthday, Chloë said, "I don't like going out to dinner in L.A. because it's so showy. I hate it. I rather just be with my family and celebrate being a live for 17 years. Oh, I love birthday cakes. I need a good birthday cake…I need a really good birthday cake and it needs to taste amazing."

'Gravity' and '12 Years a Slave' both got Best Picture Award at Producers Guild of America

The drama has been instilled into the contest for Oscars on Sunday, as the 2 films Alfonso Cuarón’s "Gravity" (starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock) and Steve McQueen’s "12 Years a Slave" (Starring Brad Pitt and Chiwetel Ejiofor) has been selected as the best films of the year, which is the first time that the Producers Guild of America (PGA) has stated a tie between two best films in the twenty-five years of long history of its awards. The PGA has appropriately selected the ultimate Academy Award winner for best film for the previous 6 years, counting Ben Affleck’s drama "Argo" last year.

On the other hand, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has selected the David O. Russell’s "American Hustle" for the best movie ensemble cast. However, SAG has a miscellaneous record on vague advance indications of the Oscar’s top film with its ensemble cast award, rightly foretelling the Academy Award in 6 of the previous 10 years.

The British director and producer Steve McQueen, while receiving the PGA award together with co-producer and actor Brad Pitt, stated a concern that could cause difficulties in the movie's Oscar potential.

"When the film first came out in Toronto, some people were saying that this was a brutal film, that no one would go to see it. Box office here in the United States and in the U.K. has proven differently", He said.

The other nominees for the Best Film at Producers Guild of America were David O. Russell’s American Hustle, Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, Paul Greengrass’ Captain Phillips, Jean-Marc Vallée’s Dallas Buyers Club, Spike Jonze’s Her, Alexander Payne’s Nebraska, John Lee Hancock’s Saving Mr. Banks, and Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. Disney’s animated film “Frozen” was chosen as the Best Animated movie of the year, while TV drama Breaking Bad continued its awards-season winning spree with the award for the most outstanding TV series of the year. ABC's Modern Family turned out to be the best comedy TV show at PGA awards.

However, after a very interesting week of awards, the Oscars are developing to be a 3-way competition between the movies including "American Hustle" (with its convincing performance), "Gravity" (with its technical creativity) and "12 Years a Slave" (with its atrocious portrayal of pre-Civil War slavery in the US). Gravity is leading the nominations with ten nods a piece, while 12 Years a slave possesses 9.

Thomas Kretschmann to Join Villainous Force as von Strucker in Avengers: Age of Ultron

While we all are aware of who is going to play the main villain role in The Avengers’ upcoming sequel – James Spader as deceitful artificial intelligence Ultron – the Director Joss Whedon evidently wants to present a greater challenge for Universe’s Most powerful Heroes. Consequently, Thomas Kretschmann has been casted as Baron Wolfgang von Strucker to join the villainous force. According to the Comic Books, Strucker is a German warrior defaced by facial scars who turned out to be Hitler’s one of the best fighter during world war. He got involved in furious fight with both Chris Evans’ Captain America and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, and then joined the forces of Hydra, proving to be an extremely influential person in its sinister plans.

Thomas Kretschmann has recently been admired and recognized for his role Abraham van Helsing on NBC’s new TV show “Dracula”. In addition, he is also known for famous movies like “Wanted” opposite Angelina Jolie, Peter Jackson’s “King Kong”, “Resident Evil”, “Valkyrie”, “Downfall”, etc.

So, Kretschmann as Strucker will once more be a big problem to deal with for the Avengers Heroes including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawk Eye (Jeremy Renner), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), though his story doesn’t spell out whether he will appear in flashback to the era of Hitler, or will (probably) be a menace in this modern era. In addition, we will also get to see franchise’s new entries Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Kick Ass actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver. Don Cheadle will also be joining the team as James Rhodes, friend of Iron Man.

Johansson lately discussed Whedon’s script for the “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, saying, “It doesn’t lose that exciting comic-book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it’s smart and it feels like the next installment. It doesn’t feel like a rehashing, it feels like these characters are moving forward, plot lines are moving forward.”

The sequel will be launched in cinemas around the world on May 1, 2015, while the Production will be started next month. “Marvel’s The Avengers” was a great success on the box office, grossing over $1.5 billion throughout the world.

What do you think about Kretschmann’s cast as Baron Wolfgang von Strucker? Do you think he will prove to be a great villain in the evil company of James Spader as Ultron?

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki condemns Justin Bieber on Twitter

Jared Padalecki, who is well-known for horror TV show “Supernatural”, has joined the bandwagon and chorus of celebrities on Twitter to voice his views about the famous pop-star Justin Bieber’s egging incident that has been talk of the town throughout the world over the previous couple of days. He thinks that the 19-year-old Canadian teenage pop singer is a not-so-good egg.

Through his official twitter account, he put an allegation on Justin Bieber that he apparently paid his friend Lil Za for pretending that it was his cocaine and to take all the blame for that. Jared tweeted, “Hey @justinbieber, how much are you paying your friend for pretending that it was HIS cocaine, and taking the fall for you?”

Bieber’s friend Lil Za was detained and charged with crime of drug usage on day before yesterday, Jan 14. Law enforcement officials exposed in a press conference that they initially found out that Lil Za was using the drugs and cocaine was found in his possession. The teenage pop star was not found to be involved in this felony, according to the law enforcement.
Lil’ Za was at Bieber‘s house when the police got there with a search warrant to seek any proof associated with Bieber to the egging of his neighbor’s home. While the Canadian Singer was confined in his garage and cooperative with the officials, Lil’ Za was chained and detained on crime of drugs possession.

First the Law enforcement officials considered that the drug was Cocaine, but later they found out that it was MDMA, a type of ecstasy usually mentioned as "molly." Bieber’s friend was going to submit twenty thousand dollars for the bail when he shattered a handset and was charged for the 2nd time for the crime of vandalism. However, after a couple of hours, he was set free from custody and he had to pay seventy thousand dollars for the bail, according to a number of media sources.

While 31-year-old Supernatural star’s tweet did not make a reaction from Justin himself (he most likely don’t want to indulge in such feud), Justin’s fans gathered to defend their favorite singer and retorted to Padalecki’s tweet very furiously and threatened to boycott the “Supernatural". They were really very mad at him, as it can be judged by their tweets and many Bieber fans even abused him and used very derogatory language. Padalecki must have learnt that never to mess with the Justin’s fans!

Michael Douglas to play Hank Pym in upcoming Marvel Film Ant-Man

From Liberace to superhero, Michael Douglas has been reported to play the character of scientist Hank Pym in Marvel’s forthcoming film Ant-Man after grabbing the Golden Globe Sunday for “Behind the Candelabra", as per a number of media sources.

The film will be directed by Edgar Wright, while the script will be written by Joe Cornish.

“With Hank Pym’s rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves. We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn’t be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life”, said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Observers have been inquisitive for a little bit to check out how Wright would helm the creation of “Ant-Man,” as the character was represented in the comics by both Pym and Scott Lang. Douglas’ role Hank Pym was the original Ant-Man, a scientist who found out the skills to reduce his size equal to insects or increase equal to the elephants. He made use of such expertise to fight malevolence and when he retired, he gave such skills and title of “Ant-Man” to Lang, which will be played by Paul Rudd. According to the comics, Lang was a burglar who stole the Ant-Man technology in order to save the life of his ailing daughter, but afterward took the responsibility of the superhero with the guidance and consent of Pym.

"I've been dying to do a Marvel picture for so long. The script is really fun, the director is really good. [My son] Dylan will love it. He'll have a picture he can see", Douglas said.

The Oscar and Golden Globe winner had pointed out that he saw the role of Pym as another wacky option to match up with his determination to play the showy pianist Liberace in Behind the Candelabra. The famous actor had won an Oscar Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his outstanding role of Gordon Gecko in "Wall Street". He is also well-known for a number of box office hits and commercial hit films such as "Basic Instinct", "Fatal Attraction", and "The Game". Besides acting, he has also showed his talent as a Producer on many movies like "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", for which he had grabbed Oscar for Best Picture.

“True Detective” Starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey Starts with Top Debut Ratings

The new HBO crime thriller “True Detective” grabbed a huge rating and viewership on its first episode premiere on Sunday. As per a number of media sources, it is said to be the top debut ratings for any HBO TV series since the 2010 premiere of Boardwalk Empire, which had scored nearly 4.8 million. Viewership of True Detective went up to 2.3 million, topping the debuts rating and viewership of most watched HBO shows like Game of Thrones, which had drawn almost 2.2 million viewers for first episode of first season, and The Newsroom, which got around 2.14 million viewers. HBO had chosen this show in April 2012 with an order of 8 episodes. It is created and written by Nic Pizzolatto, while Cary Joji Fukunaga has directed all episodes.

True Detective stars renowned actors Woody Harrelson (Zombieland, Now You See Me) and Matthew McConaughey (The Wolf of Wall Street) as homicide detectives named Martin Hart and Rust Cohle in mid-90s Louisiana hunting a serial killer that spans more than 15 years, and observes their lives spiral uncontrollable. Who would not be tempted to watch it when it includes two great actors like Harrelson and McConaughey? The acting is outstanding, the cinematography fluid, and the storyline both calculated and edgy. It is more than anything else, a work out in disturbing atmosphere — a journey through not just the preternatural things in a small urban area but also the odd saintly countryside of the Deep South.

It might look unusual to release a classy crime thriller like True Detective against the ceremony like Golden Globes Awards that grabs the attention of less audience as compared to a main prime-time football game — which is what HBO deals with most of the time in an year. Also, with record ratings and viewership on first day, True Detective looks like a show that is really going to be progressive even more in future.

“Yeah, I was involved in the conception, and the idea was – as it was pitched at the time – that they wanted to combine the best of independent cinema with television. We didn’t have a network yet. We didn’t know we were going to be with HBO. We did know that we wanted to bring in feature film talent, and wanted one director, one vision to put the whole thing together”, said director Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is known for 2011 film “Jane Eyre”.

Today, there is some more information about the Tarantino's upcoming film. As per a number of media sources, the name of the new film is announced as “The Hateful Eight”, which is most likely to kick off shooting as soon as this summer.

“I haven’t told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It’s a western. I had so much fun doing ‘Django,’ and I love westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one, it’s like ‘OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing,” Tarantino said.

The casting course has started, with some film insiders signifying that Victoria Thomas is assisting Quentin in coming up with a great casting choice.

One actor of the film has been confirmed, while another is under consideration. Tarantino has written a part of the script particularly for Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, who also starred in Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds and has turned out to be something of a go-to actor for Quentin. Bruce Dern is one of top options to play the lead. Bruce is benefiting from a huge success of his box office hit film Nebraska.  He also appeared for a brief part in Django, which was sufficient to come under Tarantino’s radar.

Pilar Savone is expected to produce the Tarantino’s new western film, while it is yet not confirmed that who is going to sponsor or deal out the movie. Tarantino's very old association with the Weinstein Co. signifies that it is going to be one of the primary priorities in this regard and will probably work out to put this mega budget project together.
