Korean Actress Kim Soo-hyun (Claudia Kim) Joins the Cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron

One of the best aspects about comic-book films, particularly those from Marvel, is that even the trivial supporting characters has a great importance in the storyline, as they could make happen something bigger. A number of such supporting characters prove to be famous Marvel heroes; therefore, big actors are normally casted to play them. With Avengers: Age of Ultron getting ready to be filmed in South Korea in a couple of weeks, Korean actress Kim Soo Hyun (not to be confused with the other male actor Kim Soo-hyun), who is also known as Claudia Kim, has been announced to play what is expressed as a "substantial supporting role". She has officially confirmed her entry into the Marvel cast on Twitter and also shared her picture getting a bit more familiar with Marvel products:

“After a long wait, I’m happy to be back with great news. I have a lot to do ahead of me, but for now, the words ‘Welcome to the Marvel Universe’ are amazing and kind of overwhelming. I was a fan of Marvel Comics, and if you really like something, looks like fate can make it happen.” She tweeted.

However, an important detail regarding this news is still missing. It has not been confirmed so far that what kind of role she is going to play. The detail has been kept secret, as the Marvel officials think that they don’t want to spoil the film by giving away the identity of the character that Kim will play.

“Marvel always prohibits telling too much about the story. Her character is already decided and the scene is already written so we cast Kim Soo-Hyun, but we can’t let you know about her character. We only can say that her character is a substantial supporting role." A Marvel representative has told the Korean news site Osen.

The Korean actress has joined quite a big cast that not only comprises of key characters of original film (Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawk Eye and Samuel L. Jackson), but also new Marvel’s characters including Elizabeth Olsen (as Scarlet Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (as Quicksilver), Thomas Kretschmann (as Baron Wolfgang von Struker) and James Spader (as Ultron). Film Production is projected to be started over in few months, and film is all set to launch on May 1, 2015.

What are your views about Kim Soo Hyun’s casting in the film?
