Marvel’s “Captain America″ and Warner Bros.’ Superman-Batman film Will Likely Have Face-Off on May 6, 2016

It is very surprising and unique scenario in the historY of Hollywood ever. The two dominant comic supERheroes franchises, Marvel and DC, will compete with each with their upcoming most anticipated moVies. According to various media reports, Disney AND Marvel have announced the third installment of “Captain America″ to be released on the same date as Warner Bros.’ untitled Superman-Batman film, that is May 6, 2016. Marvel had earlier announced the release in May 2016, and the launch date for DC’s Batman vs Superman film was currently drove to the same weekend.

Marvel confirmed the date through its web site after “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” topped at the Box office with record setting earning of more than $200 million throughout the world this weekend, with an projected $96.2 million nationally, for the  biggest American debut ever in this month. Overall, since its release, the sequel “Winter Soldier” has earned more than $300 million all over the world.

It is broadly expected that 1 of the 2 franchises will have to change the date again to avoid this clash that can bring about huge loss or revenue for both of them. It has been reported that Marvel and Disney are sanguine about the release of “Captain America” franchise and they anticipate that Warner Bros. will soon have to change the date. Warner’s “Man of Steel” has earned more than $670 million around the world.

The announcement has been made almost 3 months after WB had publicized that it would launch its untitled Superman-Batman film on May 6, 2016 — changing it back from July 17, 2015 (owing to script rewrites and cast preparation) — which indicates that this Man of Steel sequel would come to terms against another most admired Marvel movie that had not yet declared.

At the time, Warner Bros. had stated that the date had to be pushed to “help fully realize the vision”. The filming of Man of Steel sequel film is in progress in Michigan. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman and Ben Affleck will play Batman/Bruce Wayne, with Zach Snyder at the helm of the project.
