Just 6 months after getting engaged with French journalist Romain Dauriac, The Avengers star Scarlett Johansson has bigger news to announce — she is five months pregnant, according to various media reports.
“I’m very happy,” the 29-year-old actress had said last month about her fiancĂ©, who runs an innovative agency. “He’s my buddy.”
“Being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savor,” she added.
She was engaged with Dauriac in September after the 31-year-old Dauriac proposed her with vintage Art Deco ring. She was seen wearing that ring on that finger during a promotional campaign of her sci-fi film “Under the Skin” at the Venice Film Festival, and looked very happy with her future husband. Still, she was in no rush to tie the knot.
“I’m not doing any wedding planning,” she told to media reporters in January.
The hopeful couple had officially announced their relationship in November 2012; a while after Scarlett finished an about year-long relation with Nate Naylor – An advertising creative director by profession.
While fans are delighted for the 29-year-old actress and her future husband, they couldn't help but speculate how her pregnancy would affect her imminent film projects, particularly The Avengers sequel in which she is playing Black Widow.
The Oscar nominated star, who according to media reports is due in August, is recently getting ready for a promotional excursion for her most anticipated film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, and after completing promotional tour, she is scheduled to start working on Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron overseas on April 5.
A few days back, the “Her” star was seen shining as she posed beside her fiancĂ© while on the red carpet of the Cesar Film Awards in Paris. While she seemed quite spruce, her stomach seemed to be bulging out a little bit, making the bottom fraction of her jacket to obtrude.
She currently appeared in the film “Lost In Translation” and was married to famous star Ryan Reynolds for three years prior to starting a relationship with Dauriac. She told to a media source that she has always been very optimistic to having babies.
“I would like to have my own family, that would be nice,” she said last month. “They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else. At some point it is something I look forward to”.
