Russell Crowe Finally Breaks the Silence with Aggressive Remarks to ‘Noah’ Critics

It was expected after so much criticism over the biblical story adaptation.

Oscar winner star Russell Crowe, who is playing the lead role as ‘Noah’, probably seems angry over the critics and he doesn't look to be caring about their theories and statements.

"We've had probably over a year now of very harsh criticism from a bunch of people who have put their name and stamp on an opinion that's not even based on the movie or seeing the movie," He said, during an interview. "Just an assumption of what it could be or how bad it could be or how wrong it could be in their eyes, which I think quite frankly is bordering on absolute stupidity. Because now, I think, people are seeing the movie and they're realizing how respectful it is and how potent it is."

FortunatelY, none of the aforesaid denunciations came straight from the Vatican, where Russell previous month had a chance to get together with Pope Francis after a couple of unsuccessful efforts. His notion of the head of the Roman Catholic Church was nothing if not smoldERing.

Russell Crowe revealed that he is not a Catholic at all, AND that he has never experienced any association with any earlier Pope. He further said that he in fact liked the new pope who is altering the manner of the approach we look upon the Pope, and he considers it as extremely superb thing. Russell said that he was really privileged and honored to be in that location.

The Gladiator star went on to assert that this biblical epic will encourage constructive dialogues about significant matters related to our religions, our stewardship of the earth, our link with animals, and our spirituality. This film would make viewers think, who are we in this world? All such incredible topics need to be discussed. This film is an Art and such films can do magnificent thing for the humanity.

Russell didn't in fact get the opportunity to show the Pope his biblical movie and to know his response or view about it. However, the Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi had verified previous week that the appeal from the movie's producers for classified viewers was declined right away. He also told them that the Pope was not interested in watching the movie as he was unable to provide any public support.

So, what are your views about this film?
