Taylor Swift is Most Charitable Celebrity of the Year Followed by One Direction and Beyoncé

24-year-old young singer Taylor Alison Swift frequently appears in the headlines for the wrong activities like different scandals and breakup with boyfriends, but this year she has been acknowledged for serving those more inauspicious ones than herself and has been ranked at number 1 in the list of the most charitable celebrities for the second year in a row.

There are many celebrities who do acts of generosity throughout the year. Some of them like to publicize it and some don’t. To make people aware of the most charitable celebrities, the largest non-profit organization for social change “DoSomething.org” has come up with a list of the most charitable celebrities in 2013, in which Taylor Swift tops the other renowned celebrities like One Direction, Beyoncé and late actor Paul Walker who are ranked at second, third and fourth place respectively. The 19-year-old teenage Pop Star Justin Bieber is ranked at the last spot (20th place) for raising money for aid efforts for fatalities of Typhoon Haiyan.

About listing the Pop Star at top spot, the website stated, "The country pop star turned her 24th birthday into a gift for others, quietly donating $100,000 of her own money to The Nashville Symphony. Swift also made global headlines when she joined Prince William and Bon Jovi on stage for an impromptu performance of "Livin' On a Prayer" at the Winter White Gala in London to help homeless youth."

The English-Irish pop boy band “One Direction” has made to the list for the first time and is ranked at second for aid efforts of above $3 million from their single "One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)" to support the British charity Comic Relief during their volunteer trip to Ghana. In addition, the band raised more than $0.8 million for cancer research through a Prizeo movement for the UK organization Trekstock.

The 34-year-old American actress and singer Beyoncé made to third place of the list for her Chime for Change concert for women's rights. The late actor Paul Walker of Fast and Furious Franchise had established a charity organization named “Reach Out Worldwide” for offering disaster relief worldwide.
