Check out First Glimpse of Christian Bale as Moses in Ridley Scott’s “Exodus”

A glimpse into the big releases of 2014's holiday season has arrived quite earlier than anticipated. It seems that the next year will spark the Hollywood’s next big trend of classic Biblical movies, as Darren Aronofsky's Noah and Ridley Scott’s Exodus are already considered to be most anticipated and blockbuster movies starring famous actors Russell Crowe and Christian Bale as the lead character respectively. We all have already viewed the Noah’s trailer, but the Exodus has recently given a glimpse into its initial official still. While the movie includes quite a great cast, the image spotlights only on its lead character, Christian Bale.

The 39-year-old talented actor throws away the Batman cloak and cowl for Moses getup and sauntering stick. Obviously, the film follows the tale of Moses, deserted as an infant and brought up by Egyptian crowned heads, only to listen to the ten commandments of God through burning bush and eventually guide the Israelite slaves of Egyptian Royals into the assured land, which includes parting the Red Sea and a many years’ walk through the desert.

Exodus is 1 of 2 Moses movies in progress, along with “Gods and Kings”, which was earlier abandoned by Steven Spielberg. This heroic biblical tale sees Ridley Scott and Christian Bale undertake the legacy of the classic film “The Ten Commandments” in which Charlton Heston played the iconic role of Moses.

As we can see in the latest released still, Bale as Moses observes the misery of his inhabitants by the Pharaoh, while riding a valiant horse and the notable construction of monuments going on around him in a dusty desert. It already gives the impression that the film is really going to be a blockbuster.

It’s quite bad that none of other stars are shown in the image, but Scott has included a brilliant cast. Besides Bale, the great cast of the film include Joel Edgerton (known for "Zero Dark Thirty" and "The Great Gatsby") as Pharaoh Ramses, John Turturro (known for “Transformers”) as Ramses's father Seti, Sigourney Weaver (known for “Alien Franchise”) as Ramses's mother Tuya, Aaron Paul (known for TV series “Breaking Bad”) as Hebrew slave Joshua, and Ben Kingsley as a Hebrew scholar.

It has been stated that Ridley Scott is exploring the huge scale of the sword and sandals classics of 60s, and has seemingly included a huge number of extras. Filming was started in October this year and is going on in all through Spain, Morocco and England. The film is set to release in December 2014 by 20th Century Fox.
