Katy Perry and John Mayer are heating things up with their steamy new artwork for their new album “Who You Love”, which debuted this past Monday, December 2. The album features a duet track with the same title as the album that Perry co-wrote with Mayer.
Mario Sorrenti took the sultry black and white image, which features 29-year-old Perry staring seductively into the camera as she lounges on a velvet couch in sultry lingerie. Her hand rests on 36-year-old Mayer’s shoulder while he sits nearby, strumming his guitar with a pensive expression. Four additional images from Sorrenti’s photo shoot with Perry and Mayer can be found on Vanity Fair’s website. Mayer praised Sorrenti’s work, calling it “great”.
Mayer posted the picture on Instagram, much to the delight of his fans. He posted a caption with the image: "Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl." He shared the picture on Tumblr too and told fans, "And yes, we look like this at home pretty much all the time."
Rumours are spreading about an imminent proposal from Mayer to Perry. The couple has been together for 16 months now, and Mayer has hinted that he is ready to settle down with his famous girlfriend. "I remember handing a camera off to one of the guys in the studio, like, 'We need a picture of us at the board so when we get old and gray there's a picture of us looking cool making music in L.A,'" he recalled. He took Perry as his date to his brother’s wedding on October 13, further fanning the flames on the proposal rumors. A source told US Weekly that "Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose.”
Their relationship has had several rocky moments as the high profile couple broke up and made up several times, but they seem to be settling in and overcoming their road bumps quite well. But as with any Hollywood couple, only time will tell how things will turn out for these star-crossed lovers!
