Kate Winslet Named Her Third Newborn Son “Bear Winslet”

Oscar winning star Kate Winslet and her husband Ned Rocknroll went a bit wild in order to pick a name for their baby who was born cloaked in at 9 pounds at an NHS Hospital in Sussex County, U.K on Dec. 7. After 16 days of the birth, parents have decided to name their newborn baby as Bear Winslet.

You might be thinking why the last name is mother’s? Why not Bear Rocknroll? Well, this may be quite strange for some fans, but the couple has agreed that the baby will take mother’s last name as Bear Winslet and not to be known as father’s last name. They confirmed it to a number of reliable media sources.

The name “Bear” has turned out to be very famous one among the celebrities during past few years. In 2010, Jamie Oliver had decided to name his infant as Buddy Bear Maurice, whereas Alicia Silverstone named her newborn baby as Bear Blu in 2011. Besides, renowned Bear Grylls of the famous TV show "Man vs. Wild" also has the same nickname. (However, Grylls' actual name is Edward Michael.)

Kate Winslet has now become mother of three children. Two children are from her last weddings. Mia Honey (age 13-year-old) is child of Kate Winslet’s first husband Jim Threapleton, while Joe Alfie (age 10-year-old) is child of second husband director Sam Mendes. Mia and Joe have the last names of their own dads.

Winslet got divorce from Sam Mendes in 2010. In 2011, on a holiday to Necker Island, she met her recent hubby, whose birth name was Ned Abel Smith, but he altered it afterwards. Rocknroll is nephew of billionaire Richard Branson who owns the Necker Island. Winslet, 38, and Rocknroll, 35, wedded in December 2012, and had already declared that they were having their first baby at the end of this year.

Kate lately disclosed that she actually took more pleasure in her third pregnancy as compared to the last two pregnancies. The beautiful and talented actress further explained: "I've been more active and healthier. I know more about how to take care of myself now. I think that between 27 and 37 was a big learning decade. I've been lucky - a bit tired and a bit sick at the beginning, but nothing major. I always want them to be regular kids who are grateful and respectful of other human beings. I want them to know that when we fly first-class, that they are lucky.”

Kate Winslet will appear in Jason Reitman’s movie “The Labor Day” starring with actor Josh Brolin. The film will be released on Jan. 31.
