The film shooting is set to recommence on James Wan’s Fast & Furious 7 which needed to be reorganized after the sudden death of the co-star, Paul Walker. We all are aware that there have been rewrites on the continuation along with that Walker’s role, Brian O’Conner, will remain a superstar of the movie. Chris Brown to Stay in Jail as per Court Orders

“Need for Speed” Starring Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” Opened with $1.1 Million at Box Office

Race car film “Need for Speed”, which is expected to release with nearly $25 million this weekend at more than three thousands cinemas, has earned decent $1.1 million in one day in the U.S., equaling the numbers for late-night launch for cop comedy “Ride Along” (starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube) and Tom Cruise sci-fi film “Oblivion”. It also opened close to the $1.4 million for the Oscar nominated space drama “Gravity”.

Warner Bros. studio had a strong launch for midnight showings of comedy crime drama “Veronica Mars” (starring Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni) with $o.26 million at almost hundred cinemas, which sold out a number of weeks back. It is now opening concurrently on video-on-demand and at almost three hundred cinemas.

Aaron Paul, who is well-known as Jesse for his outstanding role in crime drama “Breaking Bad”, is playing the lead role in “Need for Speed”, which carries a price tag of  almost $66 million. Disney’s Touchstone is managing the launch of the film and its showings at all locations.

“Need for Speed” has been projected to grab the attention of young male audiences who are crazy about racing cars and love to not only drive race cars but also watch racing cars films. Such young male audiences have made “Fast and Furious” an influential franchise around the world and one of the best race car films. We’ll observe how many video gamers, particularly Need for Speed game fans, appear to watch the film and bring a friend this weekend.

“Need for Speed” is inspired by the video game franchise of Electronic Arts and is directed by Scott Waugh, who is known for “Act of Valor “. The script has been written by George Gatins.

Mischa Barton Will Play Lead Role in Thriller ‘Hope Lost’ alongside Danny Trejo and Michael Madsen

Mischa Barton (The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill), Danny Trejo (Machete), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Vol. 1) and Daniel Baldwin have been announced to play lead roles in sex-trafficking thriller “Hope Lost”, which is projected to begin filming in Rome this month. Italian director David Petrucci will direct as well as produce the film. He is well-known for his inexpensive thriller “Canepazzo” (“Crazy Dog”), in which Franco Nero appeared as a lead character of a serial killer.

The story of “Hope Lost” centers on a character Sofia, which will be played by Mischa Barton, a juvenile Romanian who is bored with trivial urban life and dreams of having a sensational life filled with fame and money – a world that she observes on Italian soap operas. One night at a club she stumbles across a guy named Gabriele, who claims to be a film maker and offers her to appear in his reality TV show that he is filming in Italy. She is later disposed of to a purchaser Ettore (Danny Trejo) by her pandar Manol (Michael Madsen). Ettore is a pervert who makes snuff films and makes her suffer along with another young girl.

Andrea Iervolino (known for “The Merchant of Venice”) and Monika Bacardi have been announced to produce the film under the label of AMBI Pictures, which is opened in Rome in 2013 and created its own Beverly Hills-based global gross revenue entity. They are also working on another mega film project “The Humbling”, which will be directed by Barry Levinson and includes Al Pacino as a lead character together with Mandy Patinkin, Kyra Sedgwick, Charles Grodin and Dianne Wiest. Set on a farm in upstate New York, the story of this film is based on the novel by Philip Roth and revolves around the relationship between an elderly, desperate actor and a younger woman.

The Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi currently completed action thriller “Sights of Death”, starring Danny Glover (known for Lethal Weapon and 2012), Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill: Vol. 1, Blade Runner), Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins, Sin City), Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects) and Michael Madsen.

‘The Raid 2′ Director Gareth Evans Spills the Beans about the Film

The Raid: Redemption was considered to be the best action film of the year 2011. It immediately turned out to be a blockbuster film due to its unique storyline and realistic action scenes and Indonesian martial arts. After the huge success of the original film, the director and producers were compelled to make the sequel “The Raid 2: Berandal,” which is directed by Gareth Evans and is set to launch on 28 March this year. The trailers of the film have already aroused gasps, screams and cheers from the audience with its powerful and brutal action scenes.

An event was organized in Los Angeles a couple of days ago for the promotion of the film. Evans, who has edited as well as written the script of both original film and its sequel, jested about the brutal theme of his franchise prior to the screening started, terming “The Raid 2” as a “mild PG-13 drama.” He then brought in lead actor of the film, Iko Uwais, who showed his martial arts skills to the fans, prior to finishing with a fair warning for the fans who are eagerly waiting for the release of film: “Enjoy the violence.”

“If it’s a three-minute fight scene, we want to put four or five punch lines in there. Punch lines are like those moments in the prison riot when the guy has his head kicked into the tile,” Evans said. “If you just stack (these moments) all up next to each other, it would (become) overkill.”

After planning the action sequences, Evans said he would come up with a video storyboard through crash mats and a video handy cam to work on camera angles and editing aspects — a method he made while filming the first movie.

While the whole Raid team is eager to start work on third sequel, Evans said he requires some time away prior to starting another project and sleep is his main concern at the moment.

Rooney Mara Joins the Cast of Joe Wright's film “Pan” as Tiger Lily

Rooney Mara, who rose to fame from Mystery Thriller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, has now been announced to play a lead role of tribal princess Tiger Lily in Joe Wright's upcoming film “Pan”. The Warner Bros. studio went through an in-depth exploration in choosing the perfect actress to play Lily considering other renowned actresses like recently Oscar winner Lupita Nyonog’o and Adele Exarchopoulos prior to finally selecting Mara for the role.

Previously it was announced that Wolverine star Hugh Jackman signed a deal to play Blackbeard. Garrett Hedlund has been confirmed to play Captain Hook. The three main casts have been chosen now, but it has not been confirmed so far who will play the role of Peter Pan. However, it has been reported that production team is trying to find an actor between the ages of 10 and 12 for the role of Peter. Jason Fuchs, who is known for comedy animation film Ice Age: Continental Drift, has been announced to write the script.

Set during World War II, Pan is a new take on J.M. Barrie’s classic fiction, and revolves around Peter, a juvenile orphan who is abducted by pirates and carried to a mysterious world called Neverland, where he finds out he is actually chosen to assist the inhabitants and save the land from notorious pirate Blackbeard.

The versatile actress Rooney has been engaging in quite autonomous characters in recent films. Besides her outstanding performance in current movies including Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Oscar nominated film “Her”, and Terrence Malick’s still-untitled Austin project, she has also teamed up with Todd Haynes for the film Carol together with this year’s Best Actress Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett. Carol is based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Price of Salt” set in 1950s New York. Rooney has been assigned to play the juvenile a department-store clerk named Therese, who dreams of a better life but finds herself feeling attracted to Cate’s dejected housewife character Carol Aird.

The movie “Pan” is already confirmed to be launched in cinemas on July 17, 2015 under the Warner Bros. banner. A lot of fans are already speculating how different storytelling this new version would have as compared to Barrie's "Peter Pan", Steven Spielberg's Hook and 2003's Peter Pan. Warner Bros. studio sees this as a film that can attract huge fan-base of classic novel based films like “Harry Potter” and “The Lord of the Rings”.

Paramount Modified the Marketing Content for Forthcoming Biblical Movie “Noah”

According to a number of reliable media sources, Paramount has organized a vast movement to win back the religious society's conviction and altered the marketing content of the film “Noah” almost seven days ago without informing director Darren Aronofsky.

Aronofsky, who previously helmed Paramount’s big budget project “Black Swan”, had no idea about it and actually he learned about it through some media reports, and was quite disappointed that he was not taken into confidence.

Paramount has not given any remarks about this story so far. The changes were reportedly made after several days of discussions between Paramount and the religious heads.

Aronofsky has said that he does not intend to spoil the film in any way, but he would not like the studio to do any undesirable changes to his imaginative idea. He has thoroughly perceived a film about Noah for more than a decade.

NRB board associate Phil Cooke, who has watched the film and talked to the studio about it, said to some reliable media sources that the provision was essential because of “the controversy in the Christian community about [Aronosfky's] telling of story.” Cooke has urged the religious society to be more sanguine about the motion picture, which is “more of an inspired movie than an exact retelling.”

Paramount and Aronofsky had already passed several weeks arguing which cut of the film must be included, as the studio examined a number of its own stories. The studio deems that it is following Aronofsky's idea, but the director considers that the studio is concerned about showing the accurate message to the Christian population.

According to some reports, a number of well-known Christian advocates and scholars have showed apprehensions about Aronofsky's version of one of the most renowned stories in the most holy book in the Western world from its origin. The condemnation started around a year ago, when an older adaptation of the story was disclosed. After going through a copy, Brian Godawa came up with an article debating Aronofsky's objective seemed to be turning the tale of “Noah” into an ecological allegory.

Since then, Godawa wants to watch the film, and clarified that his doubts were derived from the script and not the final film.

“I critiqued the script and not the movie,” Godawa said. “The religious community is highly particular about being literal with the bible. Sometimes the standard of literalness is not even biblical itself. They go overboard.”
